Legend of Grimrock 2 the sequel to the awesome first game is now officially being worked on!

Really great news if you like dungeon crawling games with excellent graphics, I loved the first game!

The developers mentioned that a DLC/expansion wouldn't do it justice due to everything they have put in so they are doing a full blown number 2!

I hope they actually release the first game on Steam for Linux. Also, no word on there being an actual Linux version.

Actually you can buy LoG 1 right from the ubuntu software center.

So true, they ignoring the posts on steam forum and on their own, they got the linux build from HiB from 23-12-12 so why not post it ?  And no mention of linux on LoG2.... I will probably end up buying it and use Wine, just love the old DM games :)

If you buy it from the Humble Store widget on their site, you get Steam keys *and* a Linux build (best of both worlds). That's a way better offer than the USC, IMO.

Yes, you get a Steam key (like I did from HIB), but the developers haven't actually uploaded a Linux binary, so the game sits in your library, unable to be installed ("Not available for your platform.")

Ah, sorry. I wasn't meaning to imply that it was available for Linux on Steam yet, just that you get a native DRM free build and a Steam key that will work if they ever make it available on Steam for Linux, which makes it a much better option than the USC.

+1 to this, USC is just another way of locking yourself into a platform I refuse to buy anything on it to have to be locked to Ubuntu (even though i use Ubuntu i don't wish to be locked to it).

I just hope LoG does come to Steam. I am doubtful on them replying to my email asking about it.

Honestly, I'd rather an answer to a different question, namely "LoG2 on Linux or no?"

The shell file for LOG1 in HIB installs and runs just fine.
