Legions of Ashworld is a turn-based war-game, which brings a sense of adventure to strategic war-gaming with its first-person view of an open world environment. Released for Linux a month ago it's now on Steam for Linux too!

You can see the full run down of the game the developer submitted to us last month. Which will give you a better idea than this quick announcement post.

The developers note it's quite a hard game, so if you're looking for a quick fix then this isn't the game you're looking for. However if you like a challenge be sure to give it a go and tell us what it's like.

Check it out on Steam. Article taken from GamingOnLinux.com.

This is indeed a hard game, but pretty unique in that it's TBS with an open world. Pretty steep learning curve, but then, I'm a Dominions player:D.

As I recall, isn't this somewhat inspired by Lords of Midnight?

Quite a lot actually, which is definitely not a bad thing. :)

Lords of Midnight was one that slipped by me when I was a C64 gamer, and I hadn't heard of it before I read about LoA.
