Mad Max the open world survival game from Avalanche Studios looks even more likely to be coming to Linux. We shared with you at the start of February details that it might be coming to Linux, and now it looks quite likely.

Thanks to SteamDB as usual:
QuoteChanged App Config
launch/2/config/oslist: linux
launch/2/executable: MadMax.sh
launch/2/type: none

This is one game I am terribly excited about!

I would like to remind you this doesn't mean it's confirmed, and it doesn't mean it's coming soon. Certain websites like to claim they have insider information on game ports when they reference SteamDB, but remember to not trust anonymous sources. They are anonymous for a reason: usually untrustworthy.

About the game
Become Mad Max, the lone warrior in a savage post-apocalyptic world where cars are the key to survival. In this action-packed, open world, third person action game, you must fight to stay alive in The Wasteland, using brutal on-ground and vehicular against vicious gangs of bandits. A reluctant hero with an instinct for survival, Max wants nothing more than to leave the madness behind and find solace in the storied “Plains of Silence.” Players are challenged with treacherous missions as they scavenge the dangerous landscape for supplies to build the ultimate combat vehicle.

So I have to admit... every time I hear this song now I think "I thought that was a made up song for The Wedding Singer" Seriously, I only heard the song within the last year or so in some store and keep thinking that.

I don't like this Linux website rivalry and bashing.
We should pull together.
In the same direction.

Culture Club had a somewhat brief run during the 80s where they were immensely popular.

Sweet! Been meaning to finish that game off. Now I can, since I'm rarely in Windows these days, and I always bitch when I have to reboot to it.
