Party Hard Tycoon was announced a few days ago and right now the developers are inviting people to join the Alpha, which will start soon. Because the Linux icon isn't listed in the Steam store page, I decided to ask them via e-mail to see if the Alpha also includes Linux gamers (considering the first game was ported, it should be coherent that this one too, after all). Although regarding the Alpha their answer was negative, it's good to know that the game indeed will have a Linux version just like its predecessor:

QuoteThere will be a Linux version of the game, but that is usually done at the end, not ready for betas and the like.

Quoted with permission.

On a related note, because the information is still very scarce, at the moment it's unknown if the protagonist of the first game will appear here, because the developer gave an ambiguous answer. Since there isn't even a defined release date yet, I hope they take their time and use the possibility of the same universe to deliver some interesting (and sadistic) surprises...

I hope this ends up being like Prison Architect's "Escape a Prison" mode: You build a level to be as good as possible at preventing the player from doing the objective (without making it impossible), then challenge them or yourself to do the objective. A level editor where your design not only affects the player, but how many and what kinds of NPCs you get, where they go, etc.

If not, it still sounds like a cool game on its own. I look forward to getting it.
