The art sure is sweet!

The developer announced the Linux release today, with very few words it was short and sweet. The game only went into Early Access in August, so it's a quick turnaround for their Linux version.

About the game:

Аn indirect-control tile-twisting puzzled adventure ...with traps!

Molecats is a challenging indirect-control puzzle game that takes place in the quirky and beautiful world of... Molecats!

Molecats are sort of cat-mole hybrids. They are a bunch of gawky fellows who like mushrooms, marching and adventures of all kind! Molecats spend their time digging into nearby caves and gathering delicious ‘shrooms and shiny relics, occasionally getting lost in the process.

Your goal is to guide Molecats through the underground by taking control of the environment and changing the path they follow. On their way, Molecats will face lots of dangerous traps, spooky monsters and tricky challenges and meet a whole bunch of strange but interesting characters.

From the description, it sounds a lot like a modern version of Lemmings. What makes me really interested, is the mechanic of non-failure, as you can't actually fail a level. You might get stuck and in a bit of a bend, but apparently you will always be able to find a way through. It will be interesting to see how they've balanced that with the environment puzzles. I used to love playing Lemmings on the Amiga, so I might even give this a go

Find Molecats on Steam for £6.99. They said that the price is likely to rise at release, possibly even during the Early Access period.

What do you think, looks interesting?

Looks nice.
Doesn't really remind me of Lemmings since you seem to only control 3 cats and you change the environment around the cats rather than the cats themselves.
Still , nice graphics and fun gameplay it seems.
