M.O.R.E. - old school turn-based 4X space strategy game.

By - | Views: 14,886

M.O.R.E
Worthy successor to the classic space strategy turn games with 3D galaxy map, turn-based 3D space battles and a load of new ideas.

Well that's what their Kickstarter says anyway!

This extensive— yet easy to use —game will be written for PC-Windows, PC-Linux & Mac computers, and will have impressive, polished graphics which require a minimum screen resolution of 1280x720. Space battles will be fought in turns on a 3D map. The game will enable multiplayer capability with simultaneous gaming on LAN and on the Internet. It will also have online player rankings.

If they reach $80,000 they will do Mac and Linux from day 1 if not they will release them after, not ideal but the fact they are doing them either way is great to see.

Editor notes: Thank god a developer who actually realises Linux is a PC.

I'm confused, if they're developing for Mac/Linux either way, why do they need a stretch goal?

Also, shipping to Poland for free! Yay! I wonder why.

The stretch goal is for a simultaneous release (otherwise the Linux and Mac versions will be released sometime after the Windows release).

Yeah, I got that, I'm just saying that this seems like a cashgrab with the stretch goal, more than anything else. Since they're going to develop for Mac/Linux either way.

I think the bigger problem (for them at least) is that it creates a $20k gap in stretch goals between $70k and $90k where there's nothing that the Windows portion of their backer base will be interested in. Stretch goals really aren't a good place for cross-platform stuff.

It might just be you. Personally, I don't think there's enough ^_^

And more space flight sims. We need more of them.

There are never too many games of a certain type - just not enough games of another.

The more space sims the happier I will be. Rather big sci fi space fan here.
