Neon Drive is a hard game to pick a genre for, one minute you're in a retro-future car and the next a spaceship. It looks cool and it's coming to Linux.

When asked about SteamOS/Linux on the forum, the developer replied with:
QuoteHi *Yuki*! It's in the plans, but we're focused on PC/Mac launch now so I can't give the exact date. Hopefully soon.

After watching the trailer it looks like some sort of rhythm game, but I am still confused. Confused, but I know that I want it.

About the game (Official)
Neon Drive is a slick retro-futuristic arcade game that will make your brain melt. You've been warned.

From beautiful cityscapes and ocean roads to exploding enemy spaceships, Neon Drive has it all. It's inspired by the arcade games of the 80's, but set against a futuristic backdrop of glowing cyber-grid, all in silky-smooth graphics. Neon Drive brings you 7 amazing levels, adding up to hours of enjoyment. Each level features multiple twists and perspective changes, keeping you on your toes (err, wheels) throughout the gameplay.

Skimming the video this reminds me of Race the Sun a little.

Someone tell the Game Development community that I want more 4 player games on my Steam Machine. Lately I've been taking to 4 controllers on my Steam Machine and 50".

Looks like a fascinating find, sort of NeonXSZish, Tronish, GTA 2 ish, etc...

It resembles me the old LCD car racing games where you were evading obstacles on the road.

I feel like certain phone games should stay phone games... This would be one of them. Not saying I dislike it, but I wouldn't buy a game like this on PC. I would buy it for my Android phone though.

reminds me more of audiosurf than race the sun
