Owlchemy Labs' Dyscourse - 3 Days Left!

Posted by , 3 December 2013 at 10:56 am UTC / 2565 views
Dyscourse, the new psychological survival adventure game from Owlchemy Labs (Snuggle Truck, Jack Lumber), will be completing its crowdfunding campaign on Kickstarter in only three days. The PC/Mac/Linux game, which tasks players to survive on a mysterious island in the aftermath of a freak plane crash, features a large branching narrative, multiple endings, and group-dynamics as part of its core experience.

Dyscourse features a bonus ‘Indie Plane Crash’ scenario containing cameos by ten beloved independent game developers. Players will explore the resulting antics of a group of highly regarded game industry professionals who are “technically talented, but utterly useless in survival situations”.

Since announcing the game, Owlchemy has released daily Dyscourse updates to announce the following:
  • Full approval from Steam! Dyscourse will be a fully-fledged PC/Mac/Linux Steam title
  • A new interview with David Helgason, CEO of Unity, talking about his love of Dyscourse and the developer Owlchemy Labs
  • A raw gameplay video showing the current look and feel of the game in action
  • Information detailing the crazy technical tools stack to show how this ambitious game is being built

Dyscourse is asking for $40,000 to complete the creation of their game. The Kickstarter campaign ends at 11am on Friday December 6th.

Their Pitch

They also released a raw game-play video which can help you decide:
