Pig Eat Ball from Mommy's Best Games is frankly one of the most utterly bonkers games I think I've ever played.

I don't quite know how to describe it, that's just how completely crazy the game is! To be clear though, I've had a ridiculous amount of fun with this one. It's quite a surprise really, as I was a bit nervous about diving into Pig Eat Ball thinking the weird factor might end up working against it. Fear not, while it dives in at the deep end of the outlandish pool, it does come out smiling at you.

The way the levels are all connected through hub areas is a nice touch, so you can go exploring to find a few hidden extras to help you along the way or just to screw around. I spent more time screwing around with the weird bugs than I would care to admit.

The barfing element isn't there to simply gross you out, while it's hilarious it also has an actual point. As you eat, you get fat (of course) and so you become too big to fit through certain areas. This, naturally, requires you to throw it all up. I know, that doesn't exactly sound pleasant but believe me it's quite funny. If you eat too many items that have been thrown up recently (they become clean after a short time), it will also cause you to be sick again and so some of it can be quite a challenge when you are required to spit everything out to reach something.

Are you the competitive type? Well there's leaderboards to see how rubbish you are. If you don't want to play by yourself, it also has a two to four player local co-op mode, which is equally as disturbingly funny. There's also a built-in level editor for those of you with a creative side, as if the included content isn't batshit crazy enough.

I could say a lot of things about it, most of which won't make the tiniest bit of sense until you play it. You should play it too, you owe it to yourself to let go of everything sensible in life and get barfing.

Find it on Humble Store and Steam.
