I love racing games and I especially love a good combat racer, so Racing Apex looks like it's right up my street. The developer has confirmed they will be putting the demo on Linux too.

I have to say after watching the trailer, the visuals certainly remind me of Interstate '76.

Speaking on their Steam Greenlight page they said this:
Quote@Ysblokje - Yes we are planning to bring the demo to Linux as well as PC and Mac.

About the game
Racing Apex is a fast and fun arcade style racing game that takes inspiration from some of the first 3D polygon arcade racing games from 1988 to 1992 and adds modern gameplay elements of car combat and multiplayer mayhem.

Find more about it on the Steam Greenlight page here. Article taken from GamingOnLinux.com.

Reminds me Virtua Racing (Megadrive) and SEGA Rally (Saturn). If this game have the same essence is an instant buy to me

Its totally virtual racing style. Everything is a clone from virtual racing:

Map, polygon style, counters.. everthing :P

absolutely what I thought, Virtua Racing/Formula - a game I played on MAME to the death last year, set up my racing wheel and everything 8)
I even offered a friend of mine a bunch of money if he could port it to VR for me, that would be so intense...
so I hope this is going to be good, I can't help but getting my hopes up... I better start swaying the dev to put in a "simulation" mode. I hate combat racing.

EDIT: and here we have a quote=developer from one of the discussions on steam
Lucky Mountain Games [developer] 28 Apr @ 4:15pm
Yes thats right, weapons/items are optional. So you can race as you would in Virtua Racing.

here is a quote=me just now
