It seems the Linux release of Radline: Quarantine [Steam] went so quietly that not even the developer announced it. It seems a few days ago they added Linux support.

It has a SteamOS icon and 4 days ago SteamDB tracked it adding Linux support.

It looks like a mix of games like Rust and 7 Days to Die where players work together to defeat waves of Zombies at night and it actually doesn't look too bad at all. It recently updated with a huge new world, better graphics, a better day and night cycle and more.

We will likely test it out and give it some thoughts soon. It's on sale with 35% off until September 4th.

Update: It doesn't currently work, I'm speaking to the developer about fixing it.

Another zombie shooter ... gradually the genre is worn out.

I enjoy 7D2D, well enough, but I've always resented its stupendously flimsy building materials and its hackneyed "specialty" zombies (so obviously custom-built to get around player defenses). To be fair, my problem is that I want 7D2D to be a slightly different game. Radline Quarantine might just be that game.

Immediately apparent in the video is a lack of the hunger/thirst/etc. bars of survival games, so that's a hooray. Reading some of the reviews, it's apparent that there are only two types of zombies: bigguns and littleuns. Another hooray there. All that remains to be seen is whether the durability of the building materials has any sort of basis in reality.

I'll be interested to see what others have to say about this game. Heck, I might not even wait, just spend the $10 to find out.

Well, it's not just a Zombie Shooter (e.g. Left 4 Dead, Killing Floor) - It's a full survival game with Crafting and Base-Building, but I get your point. There are certainly a fair number of this genre on Linux already. Though choice is a good thing, because it allows you to decide which Survival game you want to play, based on features and quality.

I have played lots of 'Dying Light' and '7 Days To Die' and think very highly of those two games. If this game plays really well, I'd be interested in getting it.

It seems to be discounted till he end of the week but the reviews are putting me off.
Seems people mention it is bland and does not have a lot of content.
If you do play it , let us know how it is really.

The lack of Linux System Requirements makes me antsy about it. Is the developer just trying to test internally whether it works and was not actually intending for it to be publicly used as a Linux build yet?

I now have keys, more information will come when we have it :)

It doesn't load. It fails to find /home/user/.local/share/Steam/steamapps/common/Radline/Engine/GlobalShaderCache-GLSL_430.bin.
