Reminder: Update your PC info for the next round of statistics updates

By - | Views: 14,789
This is your once a month reminder to make sure your PC information is correct on your user profiles. A fresh batch of statistics is generated on the 1st of each month.

You need to be logged in to see when you last updated your PC info!

You can see the statistics any time on this page.

While we don't currently have a drop-off implemented for old/stale data, it will be coming soon. If you want to make sure you're included at any time clicking update without any changes will update the last time you edited them.
The drop-off for old data will be done in months, since people aren't likely to change hardware that often. Article taken from GamingOnLinux.com.

A suggestion: in the monthly stats it would be interesting to show how they changed from the previous month. I.e. you can put some arrow (up / down) and value of the change. I know one can figure it out from the trends page, but it would be neat to have just that delta in the monthly report too.

Quoting: XpanderCan't wait for April statistics to see if AMD CPU share has started to rise.

i myself planning to buy one in March :)

Me too! :) The pre-release leaks and reviews look really, really promising. I think the top of the range i7 chips may still have a slight edge in single core performance but it looks like everything is pointing to AMD absolutely blowing the Intel chips out the water in price vs performance.

I'm hoping AMD shake things up a bit and make the market competitive again.

Actually i have to buy it on the Launch now or even pre-order :)

i managed to kill my current shitty montherboard. VRMs died :D damn that OC was too much for this board.

Quoting: bubexelAdd head mounted display to it!!! i want to add my vive ^^

I'd like to see this too. I figure that many of us want VR but have been waiting for it to be available on Linux; it'd be good to start collecting stats soon to see trends. I'd also be interested to know how many normally-Linux-gamers have made an exception for VR and so have a headset already, but I guess it is too late for that.

Quoting: AnxiousInfusionHas it really been four months since I changed anything? Damn it's time to buy something new.
Heh. Two years, eight months, and counting, for me (since I built my computer), and that's unlikely to change in the next year or so barring freak hardware failure. Hence why this monthly reminder feels like being asked "Did you cut your hair recently?" every single day for me. :P But hey, I'm sure I'll be happy for the reminder when I finally do change something. ^_^
