Reprisal the Populous like game has a new Linux test build!

By - | Views: 10,756
Created in homage to Populous and the nostalgia of 16 bit games, Reprisal lets you take control of a tribe, guiding them, building land and making them grow in number.

We are excited to announce for those of you on Linux, we have made a first look Beta build of Reprisal which you can have a play with. What's so different about this build is that it's an AIR-less build which means you don't have to have AIR installed!

We have been working hard to make this completely stand-alone. It’s beta and so your feedback to get Reprisal to the Linux community is appreciated. You can download it now, for free.

Works fine in Ubuntu 13.04 :)
There's no way to play it in fullscreen yet? I am surprised it's very lively animations for a 2D game.

I can't seem to run the executable. I unzip the files, then when I double-click it, I just get told that there is no application application installed for executable files. Also running Ubuntu 13.04 =/

You need to make it executable, right click -> properties -> check allow executing file as program.

They really need to improve that dialog box to just tell you that at least.
