With a style that looks pretty slick, Road To Nowhere seems like it's going to be quite an emotional adventure game.

The style they're going for here is inspired in part by 90s adventure games, using real actors that have been rotoscoped in the style of the movie A Scanner Darkly. Road To Nowhere tells the story of an successful introvert software developer, whose life is torn apart by a scandal.

While the story in Road To Nowhere is fictional, there's a little more to it. The team at 15BiT games say they have been directly inspired by what happened with Alec Holowka (Night In The Woods, Aquaria), who was accused of abuse causing other developers to cut ties with Holowka who then passed away.

Feature Highlight:

  • Branching storyline with multiple endings
  • Live-action actors rotoscoped in the style of A Scanner Darkly
  • An interactive music system that changes according to your play style
  • A melancholy soundtrack written by Scott Buckley, Daniel Birch and Suldusk
  • Fully voice-acted
  • Director's Commentary
  • Bonus "Making of" video

Linux support is confirmed, listed on all the stores and the developer sent us a Twitter post to mention they're a "Long time Linux user" and it will indeed be available on Linux.

Thanks for the small write up. I'm actually a Linux system administrator in my day job so a bug free Linux experience is top on my priority list :)
