You've played modern life farming sims, you've played high fantasy versions but what about one set in prehistorical times? Roots of Pacha is coming to Linux from Soda Den and Crytivo.

Crytivo (The Universim) continue building up their publishing portfolio and Roots of Pacha will support Linux, as confirmed by the developer on Steam. Built with multiplayer in mind, Roots of Pacha will enable you and friends to live and build together to help your primal clan evolve. Filled full of building, farming, crafting, fishing, festivals and a whole lot more. It sounds sweet and looks the part too:

More about it:

Discover, gather, and farm vegetables and herbs. Explore the surrounding wilderness to find animals to befriend and domesticate; fish the shallow and deep waters to see what lies in their depths; and mine the darkest caves filled with mysteries and secret powers.

Begin your journey of discovery as you develop the tools and ideas that reshaped the primitive world. Learn to process and preserve food (meat, vegetarian, and vegan options), begin metalworking, create beautiful pottery and art, unlock your clan’s spirituality, and invent new buildings to expand your village any way you want.

You will also be able to customize your character, along with being able to decorate your own little home. Sounds like another unique and very sweet take on the farming life RPG, similar to titles like Stardew Valley and Animal Crossing.

You can wishlist/follow Roots of Pacha on Steam. Due to release early next year with no set date yet.

I'm not sure Stardew Valley did this.
That genre never really went away.

But bless it anyway, just in case. It's good enough to get some extra wololo.
