Virtual Programming have released their latest Linux ports, and today we are graced with the crazy Saints Row 2 & Saints Row: The Third. They are also now on sale.

I am looking forward to seeing how they run, but as we get no keys or advanced access from Virtual Programming you guys will have to wait a bit before I can do a more in depth post on them both. I have requested keys from VP, so hopefully they will be able to provide me with some.
Update: Purchased them myself as there's now a sale on.

Their work has been impressing me lately, so hopefully it will continue the trend of great ports. Hopefully they ironed out some of the stutter from their previous Saints Row ports.

Both open world games, full of over the top action and general craziness.

Let me know in the comments how it works for you! Article taken from GamingOnLinux.com.

Saints Row 2 was stuttering like crazy if you didn't had 3.0+ GHz CPU (reason = bad port from console).

I hope it will go butter-smooth

OMG, nice. Too bad I haven't finished Payday 2 yet.

Just tried out SR3, seems to perform the same as SR4, stutter included. But it was only a quick 4 minute test.

Yesss!! I've been waiting for this. 2 and 3 are the uncontested best in the series.

They stutter badly on Windows, so I'd be surprised if they run better on Linux. Looking forward to trying them on Ubuntu, though!
