Just to copy paste from another thread:
Not surprised - Croteam did basically say the only reason they did not want to release a Linux version was because of the lack of Steam. Someone should check up on the Red Orchestra guys and see if they were serious about that as well.

Any chance to wrestle more information out of them?

Would be interesting to know if this is strictly a Steam deal or not, and what the plans are for SS2 and the HD remakes.

Plus if they release their redone versions of The First and Secound Encounter on Linux then maybe they could be played natively without having to fall though the floor all of the god damn time? :rolleyes:

unfortunately it didnt want to work for me... so waiting for native version then

It makes me wonder if we might still see a Rage Linux release - after all, that game is tied down to Steamworks and is OpenGL already. I can see Valve trying to do some arm twisting to make it happen - especially since Carmark is not against a Linux port in theory.
