If you still haven't picked up Shadow of Mordor [Steam] now is a damn good time to try it out. It's 80% off and actually completely free to try for a few days.

An incredible experience from start to finish, I completed it and really wished there was more! The Nemesis system really makes things interesting with the Uruk leaders gaining power each time they defeat you. I think it's probably one of the most fun enemy mechanics in any game and really helps you stay interested, it also makes the battles constantly tense.

I'm hoping sales of it have been good enough for Feral Interactive to port the new Shadow of War that's due out this year, as it looks amazing. Article taken from GamingOnLinux.com.

The most important part for me was not them getting stronger, but them remembering you. It gives so much more life to the game.

Yes, please Feral!

This would be one of the games I'd happily pay full price for if it was a day-1 or even month-1 release.

I also love how they remember you, but that one that keeps coming back after being killed looking worse & worse as time goes on is just hilarious.

Now that is something I've seen for the fist time, it is unexpected and very much appreciated ^_^

no joystick dead-zone overrides or the (X) in the middle, but a real steam controller setup, nice. if someone knows: did feral do this or the game devs?

Indeed, very nice game. Fighting mini bosses on open aera was, to me, the most interesting idea. I have't seen such freedom since Skyrim. If the second one comes to Linux, it will be an instabuy :)

Free, huh? That's a good opportunity to see if it actually runs on my system without wasting money.

I absolutely loved SOM and would 100% buy a new port (Hi Feral!) :)

Oooh such a fantastic game. The nemesis system really added to the experience especially in the earlier part of the game when one Orc lucked out on killing me, becoming a captain then kept interfering in my other battles sneaking kill after kill until he was level 20 after the first couple of hours (and I was about level 4). It got really personal when he stopped bothering to kill me because I was so "weak". I got so much satisfaction when I finally figured out how to exploit the vulnerabilities and finally hunted him down. Never so much fun lobbing an enemies head off :)

Bring on the next game please Feral!
