Shipwreck, A Top Down Adventure Game On Its Way To Linux, UPDATED

Posted by , | Views: 4,779

Update: It's now live for Linux!
Shipwreck is a top down adventure game in which you must travel the land, explore dungeons, and defeat monsters to earn safe passage off the island on which you are stranded. Shipwreck is the first game from Brushfire Games, a small game studio in Redmond, WA, run by brothers Nick and Joe Gravelyn.

The game is being ported right now and may even be available tonight or tomorrow the developer has stated. It is being ported thanks to Ethan Lee's port of MonoGame (FNA).

I think it looks beautifully crafted, the 2D art is very crisp and it reminds me of earlier Zelda games. For $3 it's also extremely cheap, so I imagine quite a few Linux gamers will be picking it up.

They also need help getting on Steam through greenlight, so please give them a vote if you like it. Article taken from
