Show us your gaming desk setup, here's ours

By - | Views: 99,286
Today I thought it would be fun to show you what myself and Samsai have setup for our desks and gaming setups, and see what yours are too.

Myself
Here is my little bit of heaven, what I regularly use for all GOL work and livestreaming
image
Proudly still using my Linux Voice mug.

The corner when my desk sits is also quite dark, I really do need to look into a lamp as it's hurting my eyes more and more.

I'm starting to feel like my desk just isn't big enough. The pull-out tray for my keyboard and mouse certainly isn't, and I don't want them on the top of the desk as it's too high and would take up too much room. Looks like in a few months I will need to look into my desk situation again. This desk also isn't big enough to host my tower unit, as it's rather large.

Then there's also my Steam Machine situation
image
I do need a smaller case for my Steam Machine, but it also hosts other systems so it has a number of hard drives in it, plus the size of the Nvidia 970 inside has been a problem.

Samsai
Here is the setup Samsai uses for his weekly GOL livestream, articles and GOL Cast videos. The Coca Cola glass is an integral part of the setup.

Sobkas
Sobkas who usually does our Wine posts, some excellent Penguin graphics for us and more.

Not tidied. All the hardware and software you see there runs/works with Linux except for the TI-99 and the CLié (installing Linux is on my todo list). Some real (non-digital) games there too (all run native with ScummVM, GemRB, etc). In the close-up is my current use system; open for heat dissipation. Nvidia 970, Intel Prescott CPU, 768MB RAM (all three overclocked :) The Dull and the other box are in-progress. The Dull's gonna be my Steam Machine (needs low-profile GPU card)

Super late to the party, but here's a shot I took just now while recording the GOL podcast.

Doesn't look like it's changed much since 2013 :D

My desk can't compete for the coolest in this thread, but I like it well enough. Other systems on the desk are my PS4 and 3DS. I also have a rackmount style server running ESXi hosting several Linux servers, but it ain't worth taking a picture.

I change my wallpapers frequently. I have over 600, mostly gaming type. The last couple of years, I set my wallpapers to what games I'm playing most.

Nice to see the other K65 and Roccat devices out there. :)
