I must admit, this has me more interested in Ravenfield [Steam]. One of my issues with the game, was your AI team doing whatever it wanted. The developer seems to be making steps towards making it more fun.

You now have the ability to make a battle plan, so you can draw out a plan for how you want the AI to battle. You can also take command of a squad directly now too, including commands to Commandeer a vehicle, getting in/out of a vehicle, attacking or defending points, go to a location and regroup.

Those aren't the only changes to the AI: plane dogfighting AI has been improved as well. Even the AI for targetting is better, so a guy with a rocket would be more likely to aim for a tank than infantry, for example.

It also overhauls the Spec Ops mode, with improved AI and alarm feedback if you get detected.

See the update notes here. Pretty decent update this, good stuff. The developer said the next update will have a focus on weapon modding support, which sounds fun!

My usual complaint still applies though, without multiplayer the game just becomes boring too quickly. It's such a shame too, this in multiplayer would be pretty amazing actually. Also, it seems they've forgotten to update the itch version for a while.

That's nice, it may become a kind of Running With Rifle, in FPS, and i loved RWR even in solo. My interest is up again.
