SkyRogue, A Fun Looking Air Combat Sim, With GOL Video

By - | Views: 7,488
SkyRogue is a fun looking air combat simulator made in Unity, it's currently in the early stages, so sadly its controller support is lacking, but it shows promise.

I couldn't get my controller mapped for this game at-all sadly it seems to think my button 1 is move left on the left stick, so I tried it out with the mouse and keyboard with terrible results. It turns out I am a really, really bad pilot with a mouse.

The graphics are really friendly on the looking devices in your face, so it's got that down already. It just needs to work on the controls some more and it will easily be a hit!

Here's my bad video of it, laugh at me in the comments:

As you can see one issue is that it doesn't hide the mouse cursor while piloting, which I hope they work on.

The developers describe it as this:
QuoteA simple, accessible-yet-difficult, fwooshy, “feel good” flight sim. Blow things up on an infinite number of procedurally-generated islands, but watch out for volleys of missiles; when you die, you're dead.

So, it has some ways to go, but it shows promise. I will keep an eye on this one for you folks. Article taken from GamingOnLinux.com.

I've been playing with this game for a while now. It's crazy fun! My Xbox 360 controller works fine for me though.
