Right now on Steam you can get some really insane deals, so I've picked out a bunch for cash-strapped Linux gamers.

If you forgot to make plans to celebrate new year, never fear, as I am here to point out some awesome games you could be playing.

I have hand-picked some games that are not only good, but dirt cheap too. All listed games are available for under £4.

Note: These are just a few choice picks, there's obviously tons more available.

* Besiege - 30% off
* Metro 2033 Redux - 80% off
* Metro: Last Light Redux - 80% off
* Mount & Blade: Warband - 75%
* Outlast - 75% off
* Shadowrun: Dragonfall - Director's Cut - 80% off
* STAR WARS Knights of the Old Republic II - The Sith Lords - 75% off
* Tomb Raider - 75% off
* Transistor - 80% off

You can see the full list of games on Steam under £4 here.

Let us know what you have picked up in this massive sale in the comments and feel free to give your suggestions. Article taken from GamingOnLinux.com.

Got the Metro Redux bundle, finished 2033 already (Last Light is waiting until after college exams lol). Absolutely amazing!

The Metro games proclaim "full controller support" so I assume it's not all hardcore twitch action, but how's the difficulty? Can I expect to enjoy the story even if I'm not that keen on (or very good at) FPS action?

It can range from really easy to hardcore crazy depending on your difficulty settings.

Ah, so there's an easy difficulty level available. Good enough for me. Thanks.

Actually, their control layout was clearly created joypad first then ported to mouse/keyboard, judging by the awful default keyboard bindings.

I have zero twitch skills and suck hardcore at FPS's and I greatly enjoyed the Metro games. There were a couple of parts that I had difficulty with but for the most part, you can play it pretty slow and methodical.

Thanks guys. My impression of the Metro games seems to have been a bit off. I've already exhausted (and exceeded) my Winter Sale budget, but I will get the bundle in the next sale. :)
