Space Colony Sim Maia Grows, New Version Out Today

Maia is a space colony sim with some lovely graphics, but lacking a little in content. Thankfully development is healthy, and a new version has been pushed out with tons of changes!

Simon is one of the most responsive developers we have ever had the pleasure of talking to, and he keeps delivering quality updates.

What'n new?
- Research the local plantlife
- Nanoprinters to make more imp workers
- CPU & GPU optimizations
- Pathfinding improvements
- Bodybags, because who wants rotting open corpses?
- Tutorial updated for new UI changes
- Placeable airlocks
- Masses more

One thing to make sure about right now; you should make sure you don't have any imps in the way when placing a room, as it will place it on top of them and get them stuck. I spoke to Simon on twitter, and this should be solved when the actual "building" of rooms is implemented.

Final note: We do have keys for Maia available for anyone who backs GamingOnLinux on Patreon for $12 or more a month, keys are limited, so act fast and support us!

Wow, it's really ticking along. It looks so much better now than when I first bought it through Early Access, and Simon is clearly committed to making something great.

This and Crea are hands down the best things I've backed through Early Access.

Has anyone with an AMD graphics card been able to make this work? I found several proposed solution for just getting a black screen, but none of them worked.

Looks totally awesome. Just out of sheer principle I don't do EA purchases, but I'll add this to my wishlist. If it ends up being as awesome as it looks, it's a sure purchase.

Hmmm...I would hope that Maia runs better than when first released. I was all ready to test it when my new motherboard and CPU died, and diagnostics found after an hour of searching that it's probably the CPU. RMA back to Newegg...:><:
