Stardew Valley is going to be an early birthday present for me, as it's releasing for Linux on July 29th (my birthday being the 30th).

Quick Update: Mac & Linux are set to be launched on the 29th! Multiplayer, localizations, and the version 1.1 update are still in progress.

Fantastic news, looking forward to giving it a go!

Still, it's weird they put up some sort of Beta on Steam for Linux with a title of "Help test the mac and linux releases!" (see it here) if they are just going to release it in a few days anyway. I should note you aren't able to install that beta, as it complains it's not available on your platform.

About the game

You've inherited your grandfather's old farm plot in Stardew Valley. Armed with hand-me-down tools and a few coins, you set out to begin your new life. Can you learn to live off the land and turn these overgrown fields into a thriving home? It won't be easy. Ever since Joja Corporation came to town, the old ways of life have all but disappeared. The community center, once the town's most vibrant hub of activity, now lies in shambles. But the valley seems full of opportunity. With a little dedication, you might just be the one to restore Stardew Valley to greatness!

Awesome news. I could do with some RnR on a 2D farm after I'm done with all the hectic 3D action (Alien Isolation, SR IV, Mordor) I've got on my plate this summer.

Mine's the 31st, but close enough. :)

with Starbound official release on the 22nd, I feel like I might be comparable to a vegetable in the next couple of weeks.
