SteamWorld Dig 2 to release on Steam with Linux support on September 22nd

Note down September 22nd in your gaming calendars, as SteamWorld Dig 2 will officially release on Steam with Linux support.

I did announce recently that Linux support will be day-1 and their latest email to me confirms this, as does the Steam store page with "Available: September 22 - Windows, Mac & Linux". Really great to see!

The developer, Image & Form, have been good to Linux gamers with SteamWorld Dig, SteamWorld Heist and now SteamWorld Dig 2. I thought SteamWorld Heist was quite brilliant, so it will be fun to see what they've done here. They claim it's "the best game we’ve ever made", so let's see what happens!

The original Dig didn't do much for me, but I'm currently playing Heist and it's absolutely superb! I'll be looking into this one, for sure. I might revisit the first Dig too since Heist has pretty much blown me away.

The animation looks so smooth! I played the shit out of the first one, so I'm totally going to play the shit out of this one too.
