Storm United is a beautiful FPS game running on the Unreal Engine that will have full Linux support, and they have shown off their first real game-play video. The game was originally built in Unity, but it was dropped in favour of Unreal Engine which performs far better for this type of game.

I think it not only looks good, but the game-play for a first alpha release looks pretty fluid already.

For the initial release they are planning to have at least these features ready:
- 5 game modes: FreezeTag, Demolition, Capture The Flag, Deathmatch, Team Deathmatch
- 6 Maps
- 1 Vehicles: A buggy
- Basic clanmap features
- A clan manager
- Cross server chat allows clan members to talk with each other no matter if they are in the clanmap or on distant battlefield.
- 15 different weapons
- 2 playable classes: the guardian and the shadow
- Physically based super smooth weapons and camera movements
- The United Development HUB (more about it will be described in a future post)
- Much more to come

Seems to be a great game. To me it looks much like Halo with a touch of Xonotic :D

It is indeed very beautiful, shame that it's a multiplayer fragfest though, hasn't that been done to death?

The graphics are just amazing, but does the "Guardian" character look a little too familiar to any one else?

At least they were smart enough to drop Unity engine and change to Unreal. The game will be way better for it.

Awesome, that is exactly what I have wanted to hear for a while! Unity can go jump off a very tall bridge with no water below.

It's interesting but I want to see the team play aspects... I don't like the call of duty run and gun lone wolf style/formula. I want good team play... So I hope they showcase that in some other videos.
