Story-driven crafting RPG Crashlands has a huge combat overhaul

By - | Views: 8,126

Did you find combat in Crashlands a little tedious? Well you weren't alone and now a huge patch is out to revamp it.

They've been listening to feedback for quite some time and it looks like they included a lot of what was requested. In the 1.3 "COMBOver Patch" they added: 36 new weapons, reworked weapon types so bleed only happens with swords, stun only happens with hammers and so on. Essentially, they've given the weapon types more of a purpose.

There's a new hotbar slot, which is specifically for consumables like healing items. You can now quickly and easily swap your entire loadout for another. Also, they've introduced a brand new combo system so trinkets, gadgets and devices and other items can now give you special abilities and here's an example "Stun Mirror: If the target is already stunned, strikes them with lightning."—sounds fun!

Not stopping there, they added a Hardcore Mode and a Creative Mode, both need you to do stuff before unlocking them.

See the full patch notes here. You can find Crashlands on Humble StoreGOG and Steam.

I think I'm going to have to pick this up. I think you or Sin streamed it a few months back and it looked fun, and this is just icing.

Also, one of the funniest trailers I've seen in ages. The voice over guy's energy is immense!
