I spoke to the developers of Strike Suit Zero via twitter to try to find out when the game is coming to Linux!

When asking them via twitter they said:
Quote@gamingonlinux as soon as the Mac version is finished (which it pretty much is, I'm told) we'll be moving onto Linux. Shouldn't be too long!

I have tested a bit of the game and I personally love it, with the recent changes in a patch they have released it's gotten much better too so by the time it hits Linux it will be at it's best! Article taken from GamingOnLinux.com.

It surely looks amazing, even though I can't play it with my current pc.
What patch are you talking about, that cockpit view one?

Cheers!

Haha, yes, I did back that project, and continually poked those guys during the unfolding development process. :D  And I was not the only one... the other Linux folks (as well as the Mac backers, actually) joined me in gently reminding them periodically to bring us up-to-date on the project.

They got within $3K of the porting stretch goal at the time of funding the Kickstarter (PayPal included) and kept open their PayPal for a while after the campaign closed, and confirmed that the monies would go toward stretch goals.

And then they stopped updating us on PayPal (which indicated, to me, that they'd reached the stretch goal but didn't want the pressure from Linux/Mac folks until after the main release).  They did state in their update #26 in January that they will, for certain, do the ports... so it's really good for Liam to apply some journalistic pressure on that commitment ;)
