If you like your fast-paced futuristic racers, you may want to know that Super Pilot [itch.io] could gain a Linux version with enough support.

GOL Supporter 'Creak' sent word that they want to do a Linux version, but it needs more testing. From their itch.io page:
QuoteThe game only runs on PC for now. Mac and Linux versions are possible, and are definitely on our wishlist, but we don't want to commit to those until we can be sure we'll be able to test and support them properly.

Be sure to let them know on their itch.io page if you want to see a Linux version.

About the game
Super Pilot is a futuristic racing game that lets you create, edit and share your tracks in the blink of an eye.
Design your own crazy track by adding loops, twists, or making it vertical, upside-down, or whatever you'd like, using our powerful and easy-to-use track editor.

Then start a race on your own creation to compete against your friends in split-screen, or up to 50 AIs, in a high speed, high adrenaline competition. No physics simulation, no weapons - just master the boost, the drift, and the extreme speed of your ship through impossible loops and turns.

Or just play on the pre-made tracks and simply enjoy the thrill of high speed, no gravity racing! Article taken from GamingOnLinux.com.

They made me a Linux build for me to test, it did work on my machine! So they probably won't encounter much problem to do the port. But they are only two, that's why right now they're focusing on the stability and the features of the game.

On their latest version (on itch.io) they have quite a few more features that isn't shown in the trailer video, including boost pads, track curvature (tubes and tunnels), different track widths, etc..

Of all the indie futuristic racers, this one comes closest to F-ZERO. All the others seem to be trying to mimic Wipeout.
