Even though the trailer says Windows 10 at the end, it will have Linux support.

About the game:

During an archeological excavation – a set of Gates were discovered. People quickly realized that these ancient passages lead to different realms and dimensions. Rynoka, a small commercial village, was found near the excavation site – providing brave and reckless adventurers with treasures beyond measure.

Moonlighter is an Action RPG with rogue-lite elements that demonstrates two sides of the coin – revealing everyday routines of Will, an adventurous shopkeeper that secretly dreams of becoming a hero.

Looks absolutely gorgeous, love the art and animations! The developers say it will be on GOG, Humble Store and Steam.

Waiting for Steam release with a penguin icon (I know it's not a penguin icon any more). And a free weekend.

That actually looks fantastic and I can picture myself playing it. Adding to wish list.
Speaking of wishes, I wish I knew how much it was going to cost. If it was $20, I just might buy it on release day!

Don't think I can play this game.

Wouldn't want my employer to think I'm moonlighting.
Spoiler, click me

Ahem...
One thing bothers me about this, though.
There has been such a crazy number of 2D action RPGs like this in the last months, it really feels like this specific niche is completely oversaturated.
And yet they keep on coming!

Some pretty broken English there, I hope the game has better writing. Stuff like this puts me off immensely, I gave up (at least for now) on the otherwise excellent Crossing Souls because of it.

It's published by 11bit studios (This War of Mine and the upcoming Frostpunk), who seem very Linux-friendly, nice to see some companies view us favourably.

Maybe it feels like that to someone who's not fond of the genre? I for one can't think of that many good 2D ARPGs on or coming to Linux.

Well, with any wave of a genre, you have the good ones and the bad ones.
Just look at the current Battle Royale stuff ;)

The problem is that even the bad ones add to the saturation.

Battle Royale is a genre!? :O
Please, don't tell me we call deathmatch a genre. :'(
What has happened to this world. :S:
