I have no idea what they are saying in the video!

It's being developed by Enigami and published by Focus Home Interactive. For those that don't know, Linux is already confirmed.

The game was funded thanks to Kickstarter backers who raised $139K for it.

About the game
Shiness is an Action-RPG developed by indie development studio Enigami, which will let you travel in a captivating universe doomed to destruction ever since the fragmentation of the planet Mahera...

Explore a large and captivating world with which you'll be able to interact thanks to the power of your 5 playable characters: crush a big rock using pure strength to enter a secret cave, or use telekinetic powers to activate some mechanisms and discover a back entry… During your journey, you'll meet dozens of dangerous enemies with whom you'll have to face off during hyper-dynamic fights mixing magic, and traditional fighting game mechanics (hit, block, combos…). Gain experience during those fights, while progressing in the storyline or by accomplishing numerous side quests. Evolve your characters, learn new skills and spells, and become the hero who will unify the civilizations of Mahera. Article taken from GamingOnLinux.com.

I assume that Linux confirmation means that they upgraded to Unreal Engine 4 since the kickstarter.

It listed Linux on the Kickstarter.

The Kickstarter page still says the release date is Q1 2015. That's obviously wrong. I would also be surprised if it's a day-one Linux release since it's on Unreal Engine 3. They're probably in for more development headaches than they realize.

Well let's not bury the Linux version before it's even had a chance to kill itself. If we act like we care maybe they will be less likely to think no one does and scrap it. I for one do care! It looks like a really cool game! Will there be stones thrown if I say I like furry characters?

Much Japan. So jrpg. :)
Looks nice though, for those who's into that RPG subgenre.

Looks nice. I don't know whether my PC will die after it. But I'll try. And now I play some online games at http://www.kizi2games.net/ which remind me my childhood. Perhaps they are not so modern, but they're cute

Personally, I feel like it's a bit old-fashioned, which for a 90s kid like me tickles my nostalgia. Here's hoping this plays out in our favor.
