A nicely put together Kickstarter for a promising new gaming endeavour has been recently announced, and presents an offer of an unique experience centred around surreal art and giving the player freedom of influencing it. From what's apparent, the game will be of a rather content centered character, with most emphasis being on experiencing the game's narrative and spectacle rather than achieving grand victories you could pride yourself for. Perhaps, Stanley Parable might be a fitting parallel when it comes to recent games.

The game at first glance heavily resembles atmosphere and aesthetics of Bioshock, still set in the quirky, showy 1920s fashion.

The very second paragraph already promises Linux release on side of the PC/Mac versions, and considering the game is quite distinctively running on Unreal Engine, it indeed shouldn't be a hassle for the developers, to create a Linux port of it.

I'm honestly not sure what I just watched lol. Kinda like lave said, purely narrative type games are not usually my thing, I tend to want some kinda tool to bash things skulls in or a gun. BUT! something in that video has made me a bit excited for it. Maybe it's the bioshock-esque atmosphere and tone, which is brought to life by some of the people who actually created the awesome bioshock universe. Definitely keeping an eye on this!

EDIT* on a side note... where are people finding out about linux games? I come here for that info, and if I'm possibly going to try and contribute to the site here, I'm going to need to expand where I find things.. since it's obviously too late if it's already here ;)

I ran into an article on the Kickstarter somewhere else, checked it out, CTRL+F found Linux on the page, there we go, a game. That's it, literally

Yeah, it's glaringly obvious these guys worked on Bioshock. However, their new game might be a little too surreal for my liking.

I'm open for new and different things so I'll keep an eye on their work. But it's nothing I'd back up with my money. I wait and see what they'll make out of their idea.

I use Steam Greenlight to find out about Kickstarters and follow a bunch of developers whose work I'm interested in on Twitter to hear about upcoming games.

Annoyingly Ctrl+F usually doesn't work though, since most campaigns only list platforms as images. :-/

While I'm hoping for Bioshock:Infinite to be ported for Linux (Aspyr?), this looks good enough to support. I have become somewhat picky about buying games, thanks to Steam, but this looks like a winner.
