QuoteThe Cave is a new adventure game from Monkey Island and Maniac Mansion creator Ron Gilbert, and Double Fine Productions, the award-winning studio behind Psychonauts and Brütal Legend.

Assemble your team of three from seven unlikely adventurers, each with their own unique personalities and stories, then descend into the mysterious depths to explore locations including a subterranean amusement park and a medieval castle, not to mention a fully armed and ready-to-launch nuclear tipped ICBM. The Cave awaits.

For anybody who's interested in chatting about the game, the Double Fine Game Club (disclaimer: I help coordinate it) will be playing The Cave over the next few weeks, and we will have Ron joining us this weekend as well! Article taken from GamingOnLinux.com.

I don't expect we'll see one before the Steam for Linux launch sale is over. From what I understand, developers don't get to set that themselves, and it's something that needs to be dealt with by Valve. There seems to often be a delays there.

The game itself is awesome, but I've encountered a few audio issues (which seem to be less prominent when I have fewer applications open).

Looking forward to watch you play tomorrow, Cheese. :)

Ah, I had issues getting it streaming nicely, so alphatt will be streaming the game. I'm going to be streaming a live chat with Ron Gilbert at the start of the session though (which, thanks to some sound issues that I don't have time to sort out, will be being done from a Mac :( ), so you can still get your Cheese fix from that :D

I shot them a tweet asking if they had any plans to make it available, but haven't heard back yet. I'm pretty confident that it has nothing to do with race ^_^

Ah, I just saw your post at the Double Fine forum. Looking forward to watch Alphatt play the game then. :)
Cool with a live chat with Ron.

For anybody who's interest, I transcribed the interview I did with Ron Gilbert. We didn't talk about Linux directly much, but he did mention that it was probably too early to get a feel for how many people are playing The Cave under Linux.
