Bundle Stars has released an awesome bundle which, like the previous Indie Legends, features eight excellent games with Linux support. Also, a 10% voucher to use in their store was added. Time to grab some cheap games.

For only USD $3.49 (97% discount), and for the next 14 days (time left as of right now), by buying this bundle you'll get Steam keys for the following games:

- Lethal League (2D Fighter with overall "overwhelmingly positive" user reviews on Steam!)
- Party Hard (Stealth action)
- Door Kickers (Real time top-down strategy game which also has overall "overwhelmingly positive" user reviews on Steam!)
- Skullgirls (Another 2D Fighter)
- Sir, You're Being Hunted (Open world survival stealth)
- Another World - 20th Anniversary Edition (Cinematic action/adventure platformer)
- Viscera Cleanup Detail Complete Pack (and House of Horror DLC) (First person simulator) (Not supported)
- Reus (God simulation game) (For this one, there is actually a port -it even got covered in a GOL Cast, see article here-, but some people experience major bugs playing it on Steam, therefore it isn't officially supported there)

you mean that with this bundle you get windows-only steam keys?

they sell legit keys and IMO are the best bundle-store after humble-bundle
sometimes they have some really good bundles for the price (like this one)

it may happen that some of their games don't show the Linux icon, but they sell steam keys so the multiplatform games are going to work on Linux/Mac too

no, i mean they're windows keys, they will work with other platforms since steamplay exists.

My first preference after Steam for digital purchases is IndieGala because they support Bitcoin. Bundle Star comes next, but with Steam and IndieGala both supporting Bitcoin purchases for everything these days, Bundle Star is a hard sell.

I used to love Humble Bundle, but I haven't brought anything from them in a long time. Everything I used to love about that website is gone. Bitcoin support? Gone (and their support team told me in an e-mail that it was because AAA publishers demanded it... obvious BS for a number of reasons). Cross platform for everything? Gone. DRM-free releases for all games? Gone. Then there's the tweaks to the pricing so now you pay the average price + some % to jack up the average price quickly, that you need to hit the Humble Bundle site the hour a bundle goes live to get the best price. I'm not interested in playing along with that.

The final nail in the coffin for me using Humble Bundle was when I sent them a support ticket about a current bundle, and they took 3 weeks to get back to me (with a hopeless response). I can't believe any popular website would take so long to reply that the bundle the question was about was well and truly over! They also made it clear that they wouldn't offer the bundle after the fact due to their delay.

I used to purchase from GOG quite a lot too, but again they aren't on the Bitcoin thing and more compelling places are. Even more annoying is the lack of the dedicated client. Why say "coming soon" if it's obviously a lie? They won't even support GNU/Linux with their own titles such as The Witcher 3, and they frequently delay or never release GNU/Linux versions (even under a Beta tag or as an unsupported build) so why should I support them?

The thing I like about Bundle Stars is that it's a no BS website. They don't make claims about supporting Bitcoin and then taking it away (like Humble Bundle), they never said they were going to support GNU/Linux for everything, etc. It's a no nonsense website, and that's actually refreshing.

you can install REUS on Linux too, it's not listed on Steam but it has a Linux/mac version too

viscera should work on wine since it uses dx9 (and support winXP which is a good sign)

The games have the Linux logo at the store, so they will count as a Linux sale. The only exception is Reus since it doesn't have official support.
