The Iron Oath [Kickstarter, Official Site] promises to be a 'gritty' RPG set in a dark fantasy world with turn-based tactical battles. It looks damn good and it will have Linux support.

They currently have $24,610 pledged of their $45,000 goal, with 25 days to go that's a pretty healthy start for them. Hopefully they will hit the goal! They plan to release it in 2019 on Steam, while Humble Store will have a DRM free version.

About the game
QuoteThe Iron Oath is a turn-based tactical RPG that is set in a dark fantasy world. Recruit, manage, and embark on missions with a roster of adventurers, testing the limits of their mortality. Every decision made carries weight and can have a minor or major influence on your characters and the world that surrounds them. As you and your guild progress, the world changes dynamically, enabling new storylines to discover and resulting in a unique experience for every playthrough.

The actual gameplay sounds interesting, as the world will change and evolve as you play through it. With cities that can be taken over or destroyed, factions will rise and fall and so on. Not only that, but the conversations you have will be dynamic too, based on the current state of the world.

Sounds like a very interesting game. Article taken from GamingOnLinux.com.

Looks pretty good. May have to keep an occasional eye on as I'm currently doing with "Edge of Eternity".

I only skimmed through the descriptions but that does look good. I've no money for crowdfunding at the moment but by the time it comes out I may want to buy it :)
