The Mean Greens - Plastic Warfare is a title I really want to try, but I didn't have time to get into the closed-beta. I've been told by a few people now that the Linux beta is running really well.

It shouldn't be too long before they open it up to the rest of us, so that's great. I can't wait to dive in!

About the game (Official)
Take part of history’s greatest battle of Green VS. Tan. Fight amongst and against others online. Jump, shoot and roll your way into victory with fast paced objective based gameplay. Sometimes the greatest battles are fought by the smallest of soldiers.

The Mean Greens is a 3rd-person shooter played from the perspective of toy army soldiers. Match up with others online for some friendly multiplayer competition. Enjoy a huge battle of up to 10 players in each environmentally unique map. Article taken from GamingOnLinux.com.

I've seen someone getting 40-60 fps on ultra 2550x1440 with an amd x290. Yes, on Linux.

This game looks like fantastic fun, love the setting.
But I really really really hope there's players online during my (CET) time zone. Purchasing 100% multiplayer games are such a risky affair.

SteamDB has handy graphs to help you decide things like this.

I've been playing the beta and it runs very smooth for me (nvidia user). The biggest problem currently is that two of the maps have a lighting issue (which I've read also affects the Mac OS release too). Besides that, it's a great little game to sit back with a steam controller for a little while. :D

I imagine this very addictive. But red (blood) injury indication for green plastic soldiers doesn't seem very appropriate

That was me :D The odd map does slow down though, mainly the ice cube map(forget the name of it)

There was a few that was running 390's without issues too last night.

It is a fun game, There's some quite interesting game modes too.

Agree, seems blood lust took precedence over art direction and aesthetic in this area.
