Albion Online [Official Site] doesn't perform terribly most of the time, but once bigger groups start fighting it can drop quite a bit. Glad to see they're making steps to fix it.

Looking over what they've been able to do in terms of optimization, it really is looking a lot better. The big fight they showed off looked so smooth it was a different world in terms of performance.

The next update, named Kay, is due before the end of the year. In addition to the performance improvements planned, they will also work on improved Guild vs Guild warfare, a  reworked marketplace user interface, better black market drops, they will add in relics and relic level artefacts.

Are you still playing it, or like me, did your enthusiasm vanish pretty quickly? I can't put my finger on any one thing that made me leave it, but it mostly comes down to the feeling of a real lack of things to actually do that feel meaningful.

"...a real lack of things to actually do that feel meaningful."

And this is why I can't be bothered with PvP-only MMOs. From the start, there seemed to be no special interest in making this an actual world with stakes beyond "we don't want the rival players getting control" because...what would happen if they did? Nothing probably.
