Uber Entertainment have said that they're going to continue working on the RTS game Planetary Annihilation: TITANS with a new team.

Here's what they said:

Some of you have been asking about the future of PA and Titans. We are currently building up a new team to continue working on some ideas we've had, as well as many issues we've seen come up. We'll be talking with the community on that plan post migration, and get a feel for what the majority of players are looking for, which will help us prioritize what order the work will be done in.

We've gone through a lot of changes on the Uber side over the last 4 years, but know that we see you still playing. and our goal for the new team is to be more involved, and more communicative. We have some foundational issues with the game that need to be looked at first, but we're excited to work on making PA and Titans feel more alive again.

They're currently going through the process of migrating the game over from Ubernet to PlayFab to ensure they can keep the game going in the long run. They did have a patch out to do this, which they reverted while they work on some issues.

I think this is fantastic news, as there's really very little in the way of such big RTS games on Linux.

If you do have issues with the Linux version, it might be time to let them know again.

You can grab it on Humble Store and Steam.

IIRC, one of my big gripes with it is the lack of a dedicated/self-hostable server. Or was that solved some time ago?

That's been possible since release. Recently they have had to remove showing such servers in the lobby list due to GDPR concerns (for now connecting requires issuing friend invites or a mod to connect directly).
