The Steam Autumn Sale is live, with some epic deals going

By - | Views: 22,948

Valve as expected have put up the Steam Autumn Sale for 2018 and it comes rammed full of some epic Linux gaming deals.

As always, I aim to give you a couple of interesting titles with good deals to get you started:

  1. The Talos Principle - 85% off (Remains one of the best first-person puzzle games around)
  2. Rise of the Tomb Raider - 80% off (According to SteamDB that's the lowest price ever for Steam)
  3. Total War: WARHAMMER - 75% off
  4. Mad Max - 75% off (Easily one of my favourite Feral Interactive ports, also has a Vulkan beta)
  5. Planetary Annihilation: TITANS - 75% off (One of the biggest RTS games on Linux, with a renewed life recently)
  6. EVERSPACE - 70% off
  7. Black Mesa - 60% off (Good price to get it at while waiting for the Xen levels)
  8. Rocket League - 50% off (I'm personally nearing 200 hours in this…)
  9. Total War: WARHAMMER II (only just released for Linux!) - 50% off
  10. For The King - 50% off

As always, there's plenty more on sale. Plenty of games both big and small of sale, some of the discounts are a little ridiculous! See more on Steam, here's a handy link to show all Linux titles on sale - filtered for only games and DLC.

Also, their artwork for it is absolutely lovely, wouldn't mind an expanded version of this as a background:

Do come back and let us know what you're getting, we would love to know.

Speaking about Half Life -- if there's anyone who hasn't yet played the two Portal games, they're also at 80% off (they're at $2 each). VERY highly recommended.

Sorry just bought Shadow of The Tomb Raider, because can't wait no more. But I bought regular edition and when Feral are ready I'll buy the addons

If you want and can wait with playing (maybe also with installing?) for two weeks, Feral should get the money.

Just in time for to feed my new Steam account.
Good prices for classics like Portal and the Halflife franchise....
Talos Principle too... But I will get some proton games too like Dishonored and Prey.

I think I am getting Zombo Buster Rising for less than $1(US)
And probably Kingdom Rush Frontiers for $5(US) Kingdom Rush is also that cheap, but I own it already.

Maybe Melty's Quest at 30% off due to the recommendations here. :D

I am on the fence about Pathfinder: Kingdoms due to the amount of bugs reported... But I would get that on Humble Bundle if I decide to get it. It is only 15% off there, but with a monthly sub discount and cash back towards my next purchase, it ends up a few dollars cheaper there.

I may get Graveyard Keeper at GOG (30% off) which is the same discount as Steam.

Finally, I may break my rule about native only and get Railroad Tycoon II Platinum on GOG for $1.75. Only because I have been itching for a good railroad game, and Railway Empire was disappointing to say the least.

Edit: Ooops!!! I said Kingdom Rush Origins (which is not on sale at all) instead of Frontiers.

Happy Tday to those who are celebrating with your friends and family! My house is packed with ppl playing Doom in my basement and fighting/party games on my HTPC. It sounds like the 80's arcades in here.

Man. This sale is awesome. So far I picked up:

Linux Native
  • Sentinels of the Multiverse

Steamplay
  • THE KING OF FIGHTERS '98 ULTIMATE MATCH FINAL EDITION

  • GUILTY GEAR Xrd -SIGN-

Growing up I went from Arcade to Computers. Consoles never interested me much because of how the ports were. I had a few but I would end up selling them or giving them away because the arcade ports of my favorite fighters were always lacking in some way. Most of my experience with consoles were when visiting family.

A lot of fighting games are not available on Linux natively but Steamplay has helped me enjoy Tekken 7, Ultra Street Fighter IV, The King of Fighters XIII Steam Edition and now the two I listed above. I already own just about every other fighter that is offered that is Linux native with the exception of any Early Access games.

It's been an awesome year of gaming. I look forward to more of it.

Same here! My wishlist is pretty big and doesn't have only Linux games... I got Tales of Monkey Island.

The Hitman GOTY bundle is quite tempting too at ~12€ (if you own those two episodes that were given for free some time ago).

Feral take my energy! I mean, money!

BTW, the "essential" bundle (with Blood Money + Absolution) is only 2€ above that, but Absoution doesn't seem to be working well with proton right now.

True, Valve published bigger version of these artworks, but in fact they are expanded only a little...

Still my fav (from 2016) :)

Well, that's my new wallpaper. I wish there were more of these beautiful Linux wallpapers, but I can never find one.
