Something I hinted at recently was that the weekly GamingOnLinux versus Feral Interactive weekly events would return. I am pleased to confirm they will with Dawn of War III!

Reminder: Dawn of War III releases for Linux on June 8th.

Starting on Tuesday the 13th of June at 13:00 BST (12:00 UTC), myself and Samy from Feral Interactive will be online in Dawn of War III. The games will happen every Tuesday around the same time, and you're all welcome to join in as these will be fully public games. I will also be livestreaming these events on our Twitch channel.

If you can't make it, don't fret! I will also personally host another Dawn of War III online event every Thursday at 20:30 BST (19:30 UTC) starting from the day of release! Yes, we will have a release day livestream as well!

See you on the battlefield! Article taken from GamingOnLinux.com.

I never did get why you did these streams in the middle of the day when people are at work/school etc.

Is it because of Feral's schedule ?
I did a quick search and they are located in the UK so I would assume they work 9 to 17 like everybody else.

Yes, we have to go by when Feral are in their offices to do it.

Part of the reason why I will be doing an entirely separate event every week in the UK evening time for everyone else.

Also I assume even if you tried to do the stream at 5 pm it wouldn't have worked because afaik it's common to hang out in pubs and share a few pints after work in the UK (a tradition I personally would love to see in my country as well ;) )
Anyway: great news!

That sound great! Go on! (:

As for the fact we need events to find players playing online: Will Feral Interactive fix the cross platform Multiplayer issue? Unfortunately I can't join if I don't buy the game. And even if I would like to, I'd like to have a fully functional port. Including Multiplayer. So do others.

I really love the GOL & Feral relationship.

I still believe is possible to find a way to get things working. It's just a matter of time to investigate the problem and try to find a work around.

And yes, obviously it's up to Feral to talk to the publisher to make him change the original code. I'm just the customer, it's not my cup of tea. I would like to spent money, it seems like Feral Interactive doesn't want my money. How unfortunate.

Do you really need to say this kinda of crap every time it comes up? It's really irritating. It's been explained plenty of times now, directly to you.

It's not simple, they've quite obviously researched it plenty, but it's not in their hands. They are not responsible for updating the Windows version. Yes it would be nice, it would likely get them more sales, but faced with no port or a port with limited multiplayer I will take it any day.
