The Wine Development Release 1.7.14 Is Now Available

Developers introduced a new point release 1.7.14 of a development branch of Wine. While keeping with a two week release cycle, They were able to push out many new features and 56 bugfixes.

The few most interesting features introduced in this release:
  • More Task Scheduler support.
  • Improvements for AVI encoding support.
  • More VisualBasic interfaces in MSXML.
  • Support for deflate content encoding in Wininet.
  • Some fixes for monochrome printers.
  • Various bug fixes.


But this release is not the only good news coming from WineHQ. World Wine News is back into action.
For those unfamiliar, this is the best source of info about Wine and its development.

i tested this wine and for example on facry 3

with wine 1.7.12 + nvidia 334.16

lastest nvidia driver 334.21 on my case show considerable performance boost, for example on assasins creed brotherhood on multiplayer (this mode runs very slow)

I would like to ask for a vote on bug list format:
a. Remove the bug list
b. Let it stay the same
c. Copy the look from the announcement
d. Start a thread on the forum and take this discussion there

Vote by writing choices from the most desirable to the least.
Example:

I will make the final choice, but I will pretty much go with the the most popular choice if enough votes were cast.
Voting will be counted in debian-ctte way. Vote is open till the next release of Wine.
