Valve continue to do smaller tweaks to the Danger Zone Battle Royale mode in Counter-Strike: Global Offensive, with it now having Skill Groups.

Now, depending on how many games you've won you will get a fancy pin to display in the main menu and when you're a spectator. Valve said that all Skill Groups play together, so it's really only a small cosmetic change, one to just let you show off that little bit extra.

You can see the pins available below:

I'm still very much enjoying Danger Zone, especially now with both the Blacksite and Sirocco maps available on rotation keeping it from feeling too stale. The perk you get to pick when you drop-in was a nice touch too.

I hope they continue to expand it though, I would love to see what else they can do with it. Part of the problem with Danger Zone is that there's no real progression that other similar games have. You level up, sure, but you rarely get anything from that. With Valve trying out the Battle Pass system with Underlords, perhaps they could do something similar for CS:GO. It's nicer than Loot Box gambling that's for sure.

As always, Counter-Strike: Global Offensive can be found free on Steam.

A while ago I played a not so high ranked match with someone to fill a group. It was pretty funny. I the whole match I never saw anyone shoot me. :D Obviously I never had a chance to get a single kill in. Second match was a little better. I managed about 5 kills! Not exactly matching up to the 30+ kills of my silver ranked team mates.

Back to casual Danger Zone for me. :P

What makes you think that aside that you maybe dont like the game or at least this mode of the game?
It is as easy as press Join and youll find yourself in a match in 2 minutes or less, if you dont live in the Antarctica.

CS:GO remains primarily competitive, and Danger Zone is really just a casual mode to play for warmup or as a distraction for most people. It's still fun, and in my opinion more fun than other BR games, but unlike games like PUBG and Fortnite it's not the primary focus of the game.
