This is awesome to see, players of the strategy game Tooth and Tail [Steam] can now play online from GOG & Steam together.

Sadly though, there is no Linux release on GOG most likely due to GOG Galaxy not being on Linux. Still, good news for Linux gamers playing it on Steam.

The latest patch released yesterday adds this new feature in, along with adjustments to make the game better overall. Ranked matchmaking now searches worldwide to help people who cannot find games, also passworded lobbies are implemented while they fix friend invites to work with the new cross-play feature.

They've also done some balance changes to various units.

If you're interested but don't yet own it, I posted up some previous thoughts on it here.

Sad to see that it the GNU/Linux version is not on GOG. Overall this is very good news though and it looks like a great game. Gonna buy it today.

It would be nice, if someone from GOG would say something about the status of Galaxy for Linux. Because is seems this is not the only game that misses the Linux version on GOG for that reason.

No good news.

Quoting: GuestI don't understand why any of you patronize GOG considering that they don't seem Linux friendly at all.
Well, it is true there are two or three people who was initially lured to GOG with its "THE DRM-free Store" advertisement because Linux and DRM-free are a natural pair. GOG were using DRM-free and old abandonware support as a means for initial growth (because they were virtually nobodies) but has since shifted its focus to this:
QuoteTo create a catalogue of brand-new AAA releases fully supported by GOG Galaxy; to turn GOG Galaxy into a technological foundation upon which gamers can access videogames produced by CD PROJEKT RED and interact with one another.

Sadly, to think that GOG will participate in Linux advancement was just wishful thinking. GOG never was Linux-friendly or even Linux-aware (I still remember its "not in a foreseeable future" reply) and turned to be just another store, no better than Steam.

P.S. I personally prefer solid competition between stores (Steam, Humble, itch, even Desura <R.I.P.> and self-publish) and will not "put all eggs in one basket" ever. No offense, GOG, but "No Tux == No Bucks". Nothing personal, it's just business.

I guessed you missed what they already said about it.
