Top-down shooter Geneshift now has a Battle Royale mode and it's really fun

I must admit, I was a little slow on the uptake with the last article about Geneshift getting a Battle Royale mode as it's now already out.

It even has a trailer:

After playing it for a while today, I must admit I'm quite impressed with it. While it has some of the traditional BR elements you would expect like dropping from the sky and looting, it really feels like no other BR game out there right now. Not just because of the top-down view, but you also have the ability to buy weapons with cash earned for killing other players and you also have some special abilities too.

The respawn system is pretty fun, as when you die you become a zombie. Catch a player off-guard as a zombie and you get another life. Unlike other BR modes, it's constant action as the map isn't huge and the rounds are pretty short so for those of you without a lot of time it's going to be a good one to check out. It even has bots, so when no one else is online you can still have a pretty decent time with it.

There's a free for all version as well as teams, so play however you want. So when you pick up Geneshift you now get access to a campaign, co-op play and various online modes full of action including this new Battle Royale mode.

You can find it on Humble Store and Steam.
