Tough Early Access turn-based RPG 'Stoneshard' is now DRM-free on GOG

By - | Views: 15,297

DRM-free and a Linux build, wonderful. Today the challenging and engrossing turn-based RPG, Stoneshard, has arrived on GOG. This Early Access title has been available on Linux officially since February with it being on Steam already.

What is it? Stoneshard is a challenging turn-based RPG set in an open world. Experience the unforgiving life of a medieval mercenary: travel across the war-torn kingdom, fulfill contracts, fight, mend your wounds and develop your character without any restrictions.

Stoneshard doesn't hold your hand and while it's not yet finished, there's quite a lot to it. Hundreds of abilities, multiple hundreds of different pieces of equipment and loot to find—seriously there's tons. What makes it especially interesting though is the overall health system. You're not just dealing with standard health bars here. You will also need to cauterize bleeding wounds, relieve pain with alcohol and drugs and deal with the mental affects of it all too.

The game looks beautiful. I really like the pixel art.
But I find the movement kind of odd. Don't like it.

Hmm, I'll probably buy this, to support them. It does indeed look very nice.
But I likely won't play (much) before it's finished. Tried that once or twice, but I rather have a finished thing to play in one go.....
