TynanSylvester, the developer of the hit indie game RimWorld answered my questions in his reddit AMA.
I asked about supporting Linux and Linux sales and he had this to say:
QuoteUnity made it really easy actually. It's pretty much one-click.
Linux sales are a tiny proportion, but it's nice to include everyone. I'd say it's worth is because Unity makes it really easy. If I had to do it myself, maybe, maybe not.
Many thanks to the developer for the honesty, I take honesty over sugar coated answers any day.
You can find RimWorld on his official site (DRM Free without a Steam key), or on Steam. Go give him some tux bucks as it's fantastic (really it is!).
Unity and other game engines have made Linux gaming what it is today (along with Valve of course), we should be very thankful. They all have issues of course, but nothings perfect.
