The Groups system on Steam has been left to rot a little, but Valve have finally decided to update it. This also removes the ability for spammers to spam group invites out, something I complained about only recently.

From now, only your friends can invite you to groups. This basically stops spammers in their tracks and as someone who got a fair amount of them, I really welcome this decision.
