This is what I like to see! Victory At Sea is a great looking naval combat game that is coming to Linux in August.

What I like about it is that it doesn't look like it will require masses of time to learn how to play it, as the interface looks simple enough to master quickly.

About
Victory at Sea is set during world war 2 and has 3 game modes, Historical Battles, Point Battle and Campaign.

Bringing an epic approach to real time strategy war gaming, players develop their own story with an open sandbox mechanic in a desperate attempt to win the Second World War.

Navigate fleets around the Atlantic, Pacific and Mediterranean theatres of war and engage in real time epic naval combat. The age of the dreadnoughts has passed and naval warfare has becoming dominated by aircraft Carriers. Submarines hunt convoys like wolves and the numerous and nimble destroyers rule the oceans.

Choose to play as either Great Britain, Germany, United States of America, Japan, France and Italy, set a point value and build your fleet. This mode is an excellent feature for the inexperienced Captain wishing to test the strength and weaknesses of specific ships and tactics.

It also features a full campaign to wage war across the oceans in World War 2.

The game will head to Steam and release on the 8th of August.

Not the best video, but I guess it looks decent. Will probably pick it up if it´s not too pricey.

Nothing like a bit of classic Churchill to stir the blood. He may have been a lousy leader outside of war, but in WW II he was the man England needed.
