The developers of Vikings - Wolves of Midgard [Steam] have confirmed that Linux is planned, but it won't be until after the initial Windows release.

From their now updated FAQ:
QuotePlayStation 4, Xbox One and Windows PC at launch; with Mac and Linux to follow at a later date.

Previously the game had a section open for Linux/SteamOS system requirements, which has been removed since the FAQ has been updated to say that.

Hopefully this won't be another we end up chasing down, but their publisher Kalypso Media is pretty Linux friendly, so it would be nice if we don't have to.

About the game
The Action RPG Vikings – Wolves of Midgard takes you to the Shores of Midgard, a world based upon the mythology and history of the Vikings, but with a fantasy twist. Battle the fearsome Jotan, hordes of terrifying undead monstrosities and the beasts of Ragnarok, as you strive to survive the growing cold that threatens to end all life, forever. Master mighty weapons, including sword and shield, two-handed hammers, dual-wielded axes and swift bows. Earn blood in battle to offer in tribute to the Gods in order to acquire and enhance devastating Spell Powers and other special unlockables.

It looks and sounds awesome, so hopefully we won't be kept waiting for too long. I would love to see more action RPG like games on Linux. Article taken from GamingOnLinux.com.

Quoting: lucifertdarkYep you're right, not sure where I pulled Spain from, put it down to me having a funny turn while typing. ;)

Guess you pulled it from my post :D
I reported two prices, one when accessing the GOG page from Sweden (23.99€) and one when accessing from Spain (38.29€, same as tuubi has in Finnland). The price in SKR BTW is 229.30 instead of 270.00 ;^> But my GOG account is set to report prices in €

This really is very strange. But it seems to be quite normal for GOG to have regional pricing. At least I found some threads about that in the forum.

Kalypso told me the Linux version would delay about 4 weeks.
So end of April it is, if nothing happens..

Can you please ask them if they'll release the Linux version on GOG? Multiplayer feature is a suspect, since they might use Galaxy / Steamworks, and the former isn't available for Linux.

Uhh.. sorry, I did not see that reply. Unfortunately Vikings will be delayed again.

About Gog I asked them a long time ago, and they were not sure at that time. But I'll ask again!
